What will it be? Having company? Eating out? A picnic? Curious minds like to know. ;)

We'll be firing up the bbq for hamburgers (low fat) tonight and with it, sliced tomatoes, sliced onions, pickles, slaw and corn on the cob. Dessert will be strawberries that are still on sale! Yippee! lol

I was going to make this LAST night but my cramps were too bad..meat-loaf and ho-made mashed potatoes..with a side salad. I detest peeling potatoes..so I am bribing my oldest son . I told him I would buy him his very OWN 2 liter bottle of vanilla coke.He craves that stuff..and I dont let them drink a lot of soda. So it will really irk my younger son..maybe he will do a chore for me also to get his "own"!!Dh is taking the buys out tomorrow on the boat to go scalloping.So he wants to take meat-loaf sandwiches w/ him..I am gonna stay in and REVEL in the QUIET!!!!YAY! mel

Lol, I hear you on peeling the potatoes Mel. Now see, I like mashed potatoes but my guys LOVE them so guess what? My guys volunteer to peel them if I'll just fix them lol.

Maybe you can try that approach. ;) just a thought, lol.

Mel - I haven't mashed a tator in years!!! I'll gladly eat somebody else's mashies, but I get these frozen balls of mashed tators from the SChwanns Frozen delivery food stuff, and just throw them in a bowl with milk and Micro-wave em. They are Real tators, just all the mashings already done.

Hope you have a really peaceful day. Keep your feet up.

its gotta be something soft - - I have an incredible tooth ache - part of a huge old filling came out early this morning and I am in agony...and my stupid dentist who I BEGGED to take care of this 2 months ago..but He wanted to do that Cleaning/root planing thing instead...he doesn't even answer the phone till Monday Morning....I HATE TEETH problems. I'm taking Advil which barely puts a dent in the pain and then got some of that Orajel medicated toothache swabs...that does very little either. Guess I'm just going to have to suffer it out till Monday....HOpefully he'll get me in then.

Only thing I might have is something really cold.

{{{Tracy}}}

I'm so sorry hon. Ugh, I've had enough of those. Ok, if it's covered (packed after swishing with warm water) does it still hurt as much? Perhaps keeping any air or sweetness off will help. Also try ice packs (but wrapped so you don't freeze your face). The ice activates your own natural pain killers. If advil isn't working, can you take alieve?

Yikes, I can't believe your dentist wouldn't be available today at least.

~Good luck, hope it calms down soon.

Awww {{{Tracy}}}

Sorry to hear about that tooth ache .. I too don't like those problems.

Do make something soft .. take what you need to help with the pain hon.

Hopefully you can tough it out until Monday.

Feel better :)

Hey Mel, you have just described my dh's favourite dinner. Meatloaf sandwiches are the BEST the next day! I almost never make homemade mashed potatoes these days but love them! Don't like instant though! Hilary

Wow, that sounds awful Tracy. I don't know what the time is offhand but I would go and sit in his surgery waiting room and insist he gives you some help!!! My dentist is always there in an emergency especially for regular patients. It will be interesting to see your "water posts" this weekend! Don't you hate it though how these things always happen on a weekend! Hilary

OK!! I will mail your DH a piece of my meat-loaf.Whats your address??LOL!!How do you make meat-loaf down under??i use both ground pork and beef and knead in chopped onion,seasoned bread crumbs and egg..then i bake it in loaf pans. Ilike the disposable foil ones( no mess).Oh and I put ketchup on top of the mixture while baking,of course!!I also make brown gravy for the mashed taters.YUMMY!! mel
