Ahh, usually a special day for many and for a lot, a day off to eat whatever we want.

So what's going to be for your dinner; eating out, a big Sunday one with friends and family?

HI ladies,

Sunday sounds super for everyone! Last night I had an idea what to do with chicken -- not really original, but a first for me. I browned chicken breasts in cooking spray (need to go get olive!), then added water, garlic, some lemon juice, and a bay leaf to the broth and let the chicken steam on low heat till I thought they were about done. Then I grilled them outside on coals. They stayed really juicy and just tasted good, without any flavor taking over the others. Surprise! One of my experiments came out well!

I have a microwave steamer. You put the water in the bottom, put on a tray and the food on top, then put on the lid and cook in the microwave. Tonight, I decided to steam baby carrots instead of having frozen whatever for a veggie. I sprinkled (a little too much) cloves in the water. Well, then I steamed the carrots for a little too long, but they had the clove flavor in them! The baby carrots were sweet and a little less cloves & cooking would have been perfect.

We also had baked sweet potatoes, baked white potatoes, chicken nuggets (I have started taking the fried part off mine, a practice I have become lazy on), and a boring salad. And milk.

Undercooked all the taters. But! The nuggets came out perfect! Hey I'm working on it!

Bone appetit (in honor of my new doggie lol)!

Love,

Yogi

>Scrambled eggs, love 'em. I like belgian waffles, pancakes, breakfast stuff for dinner sometimes .. Trouble is the kids won't buy it ... they don't want it. :( Fooey.

**Me too! Fooey is right! We'd have it anyway and often they'd eat it. ;D

Sounds yummy, especially the carrots and chicken! I love it when the carrots come out soft and sweet! Great idea on the chicken too!

Hey how is your little doggie doing? I bet loving those cooking smells. :)
