~Monday's Dinner~

Oh those Mondays! Sometimes hard to get back into the work routine. So do you have your Monday dinner all planned out or what are you thinking about having? I don't know about you all but really, I do get a sense of relief coming here and seeing something I'd not thought of that sounds so good, I've just got to have it.

It really helps!

**Yup that's why dh is getting one of his fav meals. I'll have one of mine on Tuesday. . When the guys were all here, everyone got a day a week of the kind of meal they liked (as long as it was balanced)>

You've gotta laugh, what's to like or dislike about lettuce!! Men, honestly! My Mum is still trying to tell my 41 year old brother to "just try a little zucchini, you'll grow to love it!!" HA! I can remember her saying that when he was about six!!

Not exactly cooking for a crowd around here tonight! I've fed the cat! I think I will pan fry a little steak, microwave a potato and some broccoli and get an early night 'cause I am beat! Hilary

So NOW you tell me you've got a pet...you little sneak:) I did not

remember your mentioning a pet, so "assumed" you were not a pet lover-

re: the quiz

Well....glad I was wrong...now you have someone to keep you company

while the guys are gone:)

Since Tracy brought up the fact that I never post in this thread, I thought

I'd take a moment & explain why that is. Being that dh and I both are over-

weight, I don't like to place the emphasis on the evening meal so much.

I expect him to have a good substantial lunch, and then dinner be light.

Might be sandwiches, might be chicken on the grill, might be BLT's, might be

a Lean Cuisine for me/Stouffer's frozen dinner(lowest cal ones) for him....

I just don't care for all the fuss & cleanup in the evenings. Plus, in

the summer, if we're outside a bit, you get so hot...one tends to lose

their appetite. And since I snack so much at works some days, I DEFINITELY

don't need much at all at night.

Plus, let's face it...."cookin' ain't my thang"!

Stel - I TOTALLY understand. When I worked, the big meal Was lunch like you cause when at home I just wanted to relax...and believe me, cooking 'ain't my thang dog' either.!(VBG)

Now, if somebody ELSE would like to come over and cook, , That would be acceptable. HA!

**I know not like it has any real taste, LOL

>>I think I will pan fry a little steak, microwave a potato and some broccoli and get an early night 'cause I am beat

**So they are off I assume Hilary ..

If I were you I would cook for yourself as little as possible

I bet you are exhausted.. hopefully you did get to bed early ..

And slept well .. maybe even sleep in late too
