Eating out sounds good here but think I'd like to wait till Wednesday. So I've been thinking on that omelette most of the day! I've got some cheese and some onions and some fresh healthy fat eggs and some picante sauce. Yup sounds really good to me. :) Think that's it for me.

How about you? Eating out, firing up the bbq, fixing something simple?

Happy eating :)

No dinner for me tonight Golly!! I had a Christmas lunch of ham, chicken, heaps of pastas and salads etc. and a sticky date pudding with icecream and custard as well! Oops, this is the fitness and health Board. Now, about those diets ;-) Hilary

We'll be cleaning out some leftovers (still enjoying that soup!) & maybe an omlette or sandwich thrown in the mix. With four kids it's easy for it to start looking like a buffet in there!!

I've been enjoying quite a few omlette's lately...with sausage & cheese & tomato. YUM! I'm also highly addicted to salsa....

Hil, girl, ya gotta live it up in life too!!! I love having big meals, eating out, etc. & then I'll just go 3-4 days no sugar/no flour to get it out of my system. I still eat plenty on my "off" days, just stay away from the processed stuff. Working out has really improved my metabolic rate. I've built some solid core muscles along the spine & they burn off some serious fuel!! :) So you better believe I put away the food!!

BUT I'm not trying to sound like I'm "all that"...I just want to discourage anyone from going through the starving/pigging out cycle that I used to do...it only builds body fat!!

So, forgive me if I ramble a bit...I guess I'm just allergic to diets!!!

HUGS!!!!!

ROFL Hilary,

That was some kind of celebration luncheon! lol I think you deserved all that after that WIN! Whoohooo!

Ok now, :::blush:::, I've had bread pudding, rice pudding, puddings of various kinds. Do tell about sticky date pudding. :) The Palm Springs area of CA grows the best medjool (sp?) dates. They cost a fortune but oh so good when I sent some back here!

Think you'd better get to the gym? Seriously, I'm so glad you did something fun for YOU while those guys are gone. :) Definitely a special occasion. :)

Sounds good to me Jo and as soon as I put down what I was having, I visualized sliced fresh tomatoes or maybe an avacado to go with it all. :)

Lol, I hear you on the buffet with the kids. ;)

Enjoy!

>>I guess I'm just allergic to diets

**lol, I just don't trust myself on them for very long. Much better to make those lifetime lifestyle changes I think. I do believe WW has helped so many though. I'm still waiting out Atkins though I know it's helped so many too. Guess if people find something that works for them for the long haul, that counts.:) We're all so different. I just don't think it's healthy for folks to do the yoyo thing.

I sure agree that working those large back muscles and leg muscles is a good way to burn calories. Not only that but when the back muscles are strong, less chance of injury. Ok, think I'm getting off here in a few and get to walking and then do some more weights. :)

You are just tooooooooooooo funny LOLOL Great victory meal....woo hoo!

That Christmas In July thing is a super idea!

P.S. I'm not entering into the discussions of DIEts today. I OBVIOUSLY don't have

that determination you were talking about:-) But....I DID place my vote for WW.....

Atkins is a great concept, but that ketosis business scares me a bit.

Agree with all you said Jo. Ramble away, I enjoy it, and you are right the quick fix never works. After a resistance session at the gym I am always starving and allow myself a double cereal helping (usually lo fat muesli) when I get home! Have a good day. Hilary

Do tell about sticky date pudding - I can't believe you haven't had sticky date pudding Golly. It is kinda like a moist date cake covered with toffee sauce WICKED! and you are right, off to the gym this morning! Hilary

Hmmm...

I have the slightest idea what to make. I was thinking about steak, but I had steak stir fry for lunch. I don't think I could take red meat twice in one week. ;o)

I could definitely make fish, but all I have are Whiting fillets & they have a very strong *fishy taste*.

We'll see what happens! ;O)

Much love,

~DJ~
