Music Trivia......in honor of Barb:=)

Hi! I was telling dh this evening about Barb, and her cross-country

trek each week from PA to CA. And we got to talkin' 'bout the song

"Are You Going To San Francisco?" Well, he found one of his CDs he

loves titled "Spirit Of The 60's". And we listened to the above song

several times.

My questions are: 1. who is the artist that sang this, his one & only hit?

2. what famous band was the artist associated with?

3. what is the year of the song?

I am posting this now, for the "late-nighters", "oldsters" (ha! ha!),

and possibly ex-hippies who love to chat in the wee hours of the AM:=)

"If you're goin' to San Francisco,

Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair

If you're goin' to San Francisco,

Summertime..will be a 'love-in' there.

If you come to San Francisco,

You're gonna meet some gentle people there,

In the streets of San Francisco,

Gentle people..with flowers in their hair."

IF YOU JUST GET ONE OF THE 3 QUESTIONS ABOVE CORRECT, YOU DID GREAT!!!

Love & kisses, Stel

CLOSE.....but no cigar!

Do y'all know that expression? I went to lunch Thursday with some of

my work folks, and used the expression "fruit basket turnover" and

only ONE person, out of 10, knew what the heck I meant. ::sigh::

I have had that happened to me as well--not that expression but others--there are times when one wonders about oneself or the rest of the world (better the rest of the world)
