Music Trivia......in honor of Barb:=)

Hi! I was telling dh this evening about Barb, and her cross-country

trek each week from PA to CA. And we got to talkin' 'bout the song

"Are You Going To San Francisco?" Well, he found one of his CDs he

loves titled "Spirit Of The 60's". And we listened to the above song

several times.

My questions are: 1. who is the artist that sang this, his one & only hit?

2. what famous band was the artist associated with?

3. what is the year of the song?

I am posting this now, for the "late-nighters", "oldsters" (ha! ha!),

and possibly ex-hippies who love to chat in the wee hours of the AM:=)

"If you're goin' to San Francisco,

Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair

If you're goin' to San Francisco,

Summertime..will be a 'love-in' there.

If you come to San Francisco,

You're gonna meet some gentle people there,

In the streets of San Francisco,

Gentle people..with flowers in their hair."

IF YOU JUST GET ONE OF THE 3 QUESTIONS ABOVE CORRECT, YOU DID GREAT!!!

Love & kisses, Stel

No, it is NOT a *Stel* saying, thank you very much. I betcha

Golly & Barb have heard it before, right ladies?

So Stel, if Hugs, you and me are, you know, approximately about the same age give or take a few years how come we have not heard the expression. ROFL Is someone telling fibs!! ROFL about their age! (only kidding, you know I can't help myself!)

Seriously though, hope things will work out OK. This constant "not knowing how you stand" in the workplace these days does not make for a stress free existence! Hilary

>> was using it in the sense that when another dept merges with ours in a couple of months, that will be when the 'fruit basket turnover' begins. Meaning, some could

lose their jobs totally (downsizing), or have their jobs change,

or get a new boss ~ ANYTHING could happen to disrupt the way things are now.

**It seems to be happening more and more too. I think that's why I'm so thankful for the saying that reminds me that God doesn't close one door without opening another. Life is such a journey.

Really quite a visual picture-seeing fruit being put back in the basket in different places, one piece not found that fell out and another being eaten.

going back to find my tamborine-I heard Bob Dylan may have seen it. ;)

So......does this mean you AGREE with me on the 'expression' under discussion,

my fair lady???? PLEASE say yes....I've searched this dang puter for a

definition, but can't find one. Well, its such a wonderful analogy...I'm

gonna go ahead and consider it a 'yes'. HA!

You CRACK ME UP!! (Hil, that's a GOOD thing!) Thanks for the chuckle!

You're right about THAT, Hil. But ya know, after 30+ years in the corporate

workplace, I can't let myself worry. I've been laid off before. It's not

the end of the world. And going with what Golly said about doors opening,

perhaps I'll find something I am happier doing.

Thanks, Hugs....you, too, Barb.

Actually....I had to think back to when I graduated from college, and how old

I am now....and it'll ACTUALLY be 29 years in Sept that I've been in the

(gag) corporate world. Didn't want anyone to think I was all THAT old...LOLOL
