Forgiveness is also recognizing that "to forgive" does not mean "to forget". In all reality, we will never forget. Instead, we can learn to let go of the anger associated with the action we have forgiven. If possible, we can use this experience as a learning tool to prevent the same action from taking place again . . . just another lesson we have learned on our path through life.
This is neither the time nor the place but all I can say is that I think your TOTD was just about as wonderful as they get. Thanks you Hugs for this one, for myself to forgive and not forget is the only way I have managed to cope over the last few years. Glad this is the Fitness and Health Board HA! Hilary

**Oh my Hilary ..
I know exactly what you mean and can so relate to that
Forgiveness can be done .. but yes forgetting is another story for sure!

**Thanks for your kind words hon .. it means a lot to me .. more than you know :)

**Oh yes we are, it is ..
If you think about it .. it all has to do with health .. some way or another
I went through a *rough* situation with my sister & I believe that I have forgiven her. But at the same time, I don't want her to know that she is forgiven. I don't want her thinking that everything is back to the way it used to be.
Without getting into the *entire* story, we havn't talked in almost a year because she screwed me over ROYALLY!! I am now giving her space to grow up so that her life decisions no longer affect me. I have a strong sense of family that most of my own family DOES not have. When she screwed me, she really hurt my feelings. I would say that I'm more hurt than mad.
My mom always taught me that God expects us to forgive because He does it for us each & every day. I do forgive her in my heart, but do you ladies think that I am wrong by continuing not to speak to my sister? How should we even begin to heal & become like family again??

Glad this *hit home* and can help ..
Sorry to hear your sister hurt you so bad ..
However good on you forgiving her in your heart.

**Sounds like it is *your* choice, am I right ..
All I can say is that life is short ..
Do whatever you can so you have little or no regrets ..
One day you may not have the chance and it may be too late ..
Perhaps start talking with her about little daily things ..
Like weather, work that kind of stuff .. just something to get you two *talking*
Does any of this make sense?
HTH

Thanks!
Much love,
