Ahh this used to be our *big* special Sunday dinner day. We'd eat about 2-4 in the afternoon and then just snack later.

When you were small, did you have a special Sat. night or Sunday dinner?

Today, what will you have?

We're having baked chicken tenders, green beans, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce. :)

Golly - - you eat a lot of cranberry sauce ....I'm not familiar with the food value....does it have many vitamins in it??

Kind of. . . we often had Sunday main meal in the afternoon. And Saturday night was really the only "junk" food night when we were kids. That's when we'd have Kentucky Fried Chicken or Pizza Hut.

Don't know just yet about today....had sooo much yesterday, it WILL be light...

Lol, Tracy, we just always have it with baked/roasted chicken because we like it and it's pretty with the meal.

I did muck around a little on the internet and they're supposed to have 5 times the antioxident content of broccoli and they can reduce the risk of urinary tract infections amoung other things. I'm not so sure how that would be sweetened and cooked though. ;)

Hey Golly, Christmas dinner is always turkey and cranberry sauce or jelly. We do not eat it any other day of the year!! Some cafes now do a sandwich with turkey and cranberry jelly but other than that you don't see it. Hilary

We had BBQ'd sausages, steamed potatoes, and diced avocados with balsamic dressing - not very exciting! Every fortnight we would have family Sunday lunches with all the grandparents. There would always be an "I like Aeroplane Jelly Ad" on the radio about 1 p.m. and you knew that that baked dinner was just around the corner! Hilary
