Question for anyone with children
| Wed, 08-06-2003 - 11:00am |
Starting a family isn't too far off in the distance for me right now. I turned 29 in May and am definitely feeling the itch lately. The BF and I have talked about it and I can see it won't be too long. Obviously our immediate focus is just getting settled somewhere. I just have some questions for everyone here that has children.
1. Were your children planned or surprises?
2. Were you married when you first discovered you were pregnant?
3. At what age did you have your first child? Your last?
4. How many do you have?
5. Looking back, do you wish you waited until you were older or wish you had them younger?

**Ain't that the truth!!! Very perceptive Sliver!
I agree with you about growing in your late twenties. I am 29 & I have grown SO MUCH in just the past year. It's crazy. I feel like I'm on the outside of my body watching myself & I am *very* impressed! ;o)
Much love,

**That is *SO* wonderful Hugs!!!!!
Much love,

My feeling is that this marriage, when it happens, will work! Hilary
**LOL .. yep it's all true so get use to it now
Sounds like it won't bother you at all :)

**Thanks DJ ..
Nothing special for this one
Next year we are planning on taking a cruise with our guys :::blush:::

**Interesting you say that as at some point years ago ..
I wished I had three as well ..
Oh well .. such is life :)

1. Were your children planned or surprises?
Planned
2. Were you married when you first discovered you were pregnant?
Yep :) Society is a lot looser now. When my children were born, being unwed and pregnant still made little old ladies scowl and say "tsk, tsk" :)
3. At what age did you have your first child? Your last?
27 and 31
4. How many do you have?
Two sons. I only wanted sons and was so happy when both were born :)
5. Looking back, do you wish you waited until you were older or wish you had them younger?
Younger would have been better for my body, but emotionally and intellectually, older is better. At least for me it was :)
Good luck!!
Well Hi Cindi,
So nice to see you here. :)
>>Two sons. I only wanted sons and was so happy when both were born :)
**Lol, there's sure a lot of us here with two sons. You fit right in. :D

**I so agree there!
Thanks for stopping by. :)

>>2. Were you married when you first discovered you were pregnant? Yes, to me that is still so very important but the world is a different place now!
**It certainly has changed hasn't it
>>5. Looking back, do you wish you waited until you were older or wish you had them younger? I figure the timing was just right. The one thing we did before having children was spend four years enjoying each other's company and saving to put the deposit down on a home. I have known my husband since I was 18.
**Excellent to have had that time for yourselves .. Good thinking :)

**You made me think back to my 20s DJ. Oh my gosh, I was so different the last 4 years of my twenties than I was the first 6. It's amazing really. Thank you for sharing that. :)
