Hi guys! I've had really REALLY itchy legs since I was about 13. I itch so much i am always bleeding and constantly have red blotches on my legs.. and sometimes even my arms. My legs itch whether I shave or dont shave. The heat aggrivates it, and I have tried most every lotion on the market. (so I think). Does anyone know of any remedies or things I can do to help my problem? Does anyone use a "special" lotion or have a technique to keeping their legs soft and itch-free?

Hi Punknpeaches,

I'm so sorry about your legs, it must really be uncomfortable. Have you checked with a good skin Dr. I bet one could help you the most in figuring out what's going on and perhaps have a lotion that will help.

Good luck hon.

**Sounds like a never ending battle hon .. bummer.

Have you asked your doctor, or gone to a dermatologist? They can help too.

Here is a link that may help ..

Also someone else may be able to give you some ideas as well ..

So check back soon :)

Welcome aboard!!!

Well to add one more H2O fact--dehydration can cause itchy skin (why do you think moisturizers are so popular--if 73% of people are dehydrated). Drink lots and lots--my DH has a problem and nothing the Dr did has helped--he does use Gold Bond lotion and that seems to ease it--I keep telling him to drink more water--but he doesn't like water(vbg). You also might have an allergy. My son had that problem but only on his torso--turns out he was allegic to his own sweat. (runs in the family). Definitely see a Doc--but don't ignore the advice about water--skin needs alot of it.

Avocado 10 oil. You can get it at almost any health food store in the skincare section. It runs about $10 for a 6oz bottle, but it lasts awhile AND smells good too.
