I miss you all TERRIBLY. I have been having connectivity problems, I'll admit ALL b/c of my own computer "Dummy"-ness. BUT! Now that I have my DSL working, things are working so much faster, it is not so frustrating here on iVillage. I mean, an hour to finally connect through dial up, another hour from clicking to favorites to get here, then 15 minutes for each post to show up, or write one, or wait for it to come up to edit, ALL that.
Reading is much faster too. I could never read very many posts before b/c it took so long! SO. If and when I can get over here it will be a lot more fun.
I Am puffing away again -- good thing too, as I or others might be in serious danger if I weren't. Dam hormone stuff. Blah Blah you know the story.
Today I was looking through my "mail waiting to be sent" box. SO MUCH! I don't know how many emails I've never finished! I found some interesting ones re smoking and quitting and all that & thought I would share some.
Oh, not that I don't want to be free again. I am honestly stumped on how else to manage, when things, get bad, at this time in my life.
On to my entertainment for the evening:
This from 2002, on Halloween. I had forgotten completely about this thing. If I did post it on the old Break Board, I beg your forgiveness!

I think I'm sick e-
nough to quit. That
is my goal, my
aim, that's it!
Phenergan up my rear -
Pepto down my throat -
That should keep both ends
plugged, I hope.
Coughing, wheezing,
ears stuffed up. Yes,
one would think that
is enough.
But then! The bronchial
thing to add, Got
horse pills fighting that,
egads!
The point here is:
Not once while quit
did bugs return,
no not one bit
My system became
so immune, I
danced around, I
sang a tune.
But then, the crash &
burn excuse
brought back all of
Nic's abuse.
Five weeks smoking, maybe
six all told:
I am so sick.
I feel so old.
Tomorrow then I
start my quit.
I hope that's all.
I hope that's it.
I just felt like rhyming. Hope you didn't mind --
NOW, if only my mind isn't too sickened by Nic to recover.

Well, I think we all know the answer to that - NO Stel I'm not whining! I've got other things right now, personal things, more urgent. Maybe after I get through menopause :)

Hi Yogi,
>>TOO busy. Stressed to the max. Good stress mostly.
Glad to hear that it's mostly good stress. :)
Wow, you have dsl, lucky you! Enjoy. I've been told it's really fast. :)
>>I Am puffing away again
**I'm sorry to hear that hon. Maybe take some time to think about a new quit plan and think about a date.
>>I am honestly stumped on how else to manage, when things, get bad, at this time in my life.
**It's tough. Maybe you'll find something you saved that will inspire you. I sure don't want you getting sick like it used to make you.
You know we're here for you when you're ready.

Well, now that you've got DSL, maybe it will make your life a
wee bit easier. I sure hope so. Anything to help us thru
menopause, right?

Reminded me of a boyfriend I had once -- I hope I get the inflection right here. He was a boisterous kind of guy & used to say, "GET to know me!!!" And I'd laugh --

Basically, it is less expensive than getting a second phone line. Also, I can count it as a business expense (I hope). I don't have a cell or even a beeper. I have to rely on my answering machine, which I think will work out. The only thing I would really like a beeper for, is if my sons needed to get in touch with me.
All in good time -
Love!

I'm so sorry, I have been so absorbed in our little lives over here, and haven't had the time I'd like for the board -- in fact right now I am supposed to be working, but geesh.
Lately I feel that with all this perspiration (more like rain) going on, I must be getting rid of toxins like crazy! Don't you love having a bath in your bed? Or sauna while you sleep? And what do you think about those moments of clarity, when you suddenly realize that you've been blessed, above all the other people in the room, with being the most WARM?!!
God is good! And like they say, what a sense of humor too!
Yeah, I guess this stuff is kinda funny. When it's NOT happening.
Hey, you or anyone else can email me ANYTIME. My address is D93isKZD@aol.com. I don't see any harm in printing it here, since I still can't get into the profile.
Later -
Love,
