Personal female question here...

Have any of you that are or have been pregnant continued to have your period for the first month or two? The only reason I ask is because I feel, well, 'strange'. My breasts have been very swollen, obviously bigger and sore for the past month. My nipples have been super sensitive. I wrote that off because my period was due, came and went, but they are still in the same state two weeks after. I have been absolutely exhausted, ravenously hungry, and have a real short fuse (I cry at the drop of a hat. I NEVER cry) - which all could be a result of the stress of my life/environment changing and quitting smoking. Anyone think I should worry about an 'oops' being the issue here?

hi sliverpink,

Oh my sliverpink! Now I'm not up on pg tests but perhaps someone else is here that might know? Aren't they supposed to be fairly reliable now and inexpensive?

I think you could very well be right about *stress of my life/environment changing and quitting smoking* causing tiredness, short fuse and hunger. :) However I've not heard of the other symptoms going along with quitting however, we're all different.

You might try asking here:

I would chalk it up to stress unless your period is late and or different than normal. By different I mean spotting not bleeding really short like from a few hours to only two or three days. no cramping or just feels weird. If you think you mat be pg. then wait till 6weeks after you last normal period then use a home test it is fast easy and usually reliable. A home test informed me the second time. oh also the health department does pg tests for free.

WELL! I never had mine when I was PG..you might want to get a test. The female body can be quite tricky at times!!Yikes..now the quitting smoking part can certainly be a reason for bitchiness and crying. Also not smoking can slow down your metabolism..I get --errr- irregular and bloated at first..but ya better see whassup...mel

Hey sliverpink ..

Sounds like a possibility you could be pregnant ..

Why not take a at home test and find out ..

Do let us know though

I know OF women who have gotten their period the first couple of months while pregnant. I don't have scientific proof or anything. ;o)

My mom told me that she spotted for the first 5 months when she was pregnant with me. I think I also remember one of my friends telling me that she was bleeding a little when she was pregnant with her twins.

Anything is possible, but the only way to really know is to take a test.

I hope that you are okay. ;o)

Much love,
