I have that simple tune mimimized so I can listen to it this morning. Just what I needed.
Hmmm, the new URL sure is adjusting! First time I clicked on TOTD I got Hugs'profile, which is as always, lovely!
Second time, I got your reply, Hilary. The beauty of this concept is that it IS simple.
Never said it was easy! LOL
That little bit of knowledge (simple, not easy) is not original. It came from some years of being in Al-Anon and other 12 step groups. The idea of the slogan "One Day At A Time" does cause some consternation among people. It takes practice. But in a pinch, it can be a life and in practial terms, a time) saving skill.
Thanks Hugs, I need to practice this SO BAD!!!! I was just about to pull my hair out! Thank you for saving my hair!
Thanks Yogi. Make TODAY the best day it can be,and live one day at a time! I really have trouble with the concept but will "think" on it! I understand making each day the best it can be, and the suggestion to do this, put out of our minds yesterday and tomorrow. I think if you are fighting an addiction of any kind it would be the only way but today is influenced so much by what went before and what may come. Guess it is a variation on the fogive and forget idea - I can forgive but never forget.
Like I said, I will think on it some and thanks Yogi, appreciated your post immensely. :-)Hilary

Amen!

It seems to me that we often, almost sulkily, reject the good that God
offers us because, at the moment, we expected some other good.
