Want M&M flavor, but without all the preservatives and artficial colors (red 40, yellow 5, Blue 1)and hidden MSG? Try Sunspire brand SUNDROPS! You can get the big or little bags and they even come in Peanut! They cost a bit more than regular M&M's and they are found mainly in health food stores/warehouses, but it's worth avoiding the dyes and MSG.

Quick migraine fact:

Migraine sufferers can reduce the frequency of migraines by up to 50% by just simply avoiding all artificial colors and MSG(monosodium glutamate). Even a little MSG every once in a while can disrupt chemical and electrical flow in the brain enough to trigger frequent migraines.

Hi sliverpink, :)

I'm allergic to msg so I really watch getting it-to the point where the Chinese restaurant where we carry out greets us with "No msg" lol.

I didn't know that about M&Ms but then I don't really eat them unless at someone's house.

Thanks for the info hon!

I suffered from migraines from the age of 8 to 21. I would get a severe one every week - vomiting, numbness on one side, tunnel vision, etc. I took only 2 steps ON MY OWN after seeing many doctors who seemed to only want to treat the pain. After a small amount of research I cut MSG, dyes and artificial colors COMPLETELY out of my diet and I saw an acupuncturist(certified in China, not an acupuncturist that was schooled in the U.S.) for 3 sessions only. I MAYBE get 2 migraines a year now.

Wow sliverpink, you really did turn your life around going from suffering migraines once a week to now maybe 2 a year. What a relief that must have been. :)

Thanks for sharing what and how you found out what works for you!

I always advocate seeing a doctor before making any extreme changes, but sometimes they miss the boat on a few things. If we listen to our bodies a little more often we could fix a great deal more problems than we thought we could just by using common sense.

Absolutely right! Following that advice would mean a lot of pill bottles would just stay on the shelf where they belong! Excellent post, thanks. Hilary

**Wow thank goodness sliverpink you took it upon yourself to figure out the problem ..

However on the other hand .. would have been nice if the doctor had taken more time ..
