Is it possible to get a zit on small lab
| Sun, 08-24-2003 - 1:34pm |
I was wondering if it is possible to get a zit or pimple on the smaller labia? I get one that appears on the left lower labia minora............it's a painful bump. I am not sexually active or anything..........could it be that I am wiping to hard after urinating or something and it is allowing for bacteria to get in there? I never used to get those and now I am. Sometimes I would get one in the area where the pubic hair is, but I have never gotten one in an area like that before until now. Can you get a pimple or a zit in an area where there isn't any hair? It's frustrating, please help!

**From what I have heard yes it is possible ..
More than anything like you said they are a PITA!
They kind of come and go on their own
If it still bothers you after a while,
I suggest you call your doctor and see what they suggest.

I'm sorry it's not better and still hurting. I've never had that. Just a thought that when there's pain and swelling after a few days, like Hugs said, it might be time to call and check with your Dr. or at least his/her nurse. I would think they might have some suggestions on relieving the discomfort or may want to see you. And I think if nothing else, it could relieve your mind. :)

Sorry to hear it is still bothering you.
Keep doing as you are doing,m trying to treat it ..
Wait a bit like you said ..
If not gone in maybe a week, then speak with your doctor.
Hope to see you here again :)

>>I think that it is starting to subside, well the pain anyway
**Good news kat. :) Glad to hear it. I think you're wise not to pop it but to let it do it on it's own if it will.
Thanks for checking back and letting us know it's getting better. :)

Another thing to remember as well is that your hair grows down there...and as we all know, it's not real soft and gentle hair. What can happen is if you're working out or even from day to day sweating, your hair folicles can get clogged thus creating what you are describing. This is especially true if you shave or wax. Not to worry, it will go away. I usually try popping it if I get one...it does hurt and is hard to pop, but if you work at it...it will go away and feel better. Hope this helps!
Love!
