Is it possible to get a zit on small lab

I was wondering if it is possible to get a zit or pimple on the smaller labia? I get one that appears on the left lower labia minora............it's a painful bump. I am not sexually active or anything..........could it be that I am wiping to hard after urinating or something and it is allowing for bacteria to get in there? I never used to get those and now I am. Sometimes I would get one in the area where the pubic hair is, but I have never gotten one in an area like that before until now. Can you get a pimple or a zit in an area where there isn't any hair? It's frustrating, please help!

Hi kat lady and welcome,

>>Can you get a pimple or a zit in an area where there isn't any hair? It's frustrating, please help!

**From what I have heard yes it is possible ..

More than anything like you said they are a PITA!

They kind of come and go on their own

If it still bothers you after a while,

I suggest you call your doctor and see what they suggest.

I have had this annoying painful lump for a couple of days now, and it really hurts like crazy, it's making the entire lip on the first side to swell and making it tender............do you have any idea how long it will be there, and is there any way to make it go away faster? I tried opening it up with a needle, but all that I got from that was more pain and some bleeding. And thanks for your reply earlier.

Hi kat lady,

I'm sorry it's not better and still hurting. I've never had that. Just a thought that when there's pain and swelling after a few days, like Hugs said, it might be time to call and check with your Dr. or at least his/her nurse. I would think they might have some suggestions on relieving the discomfort or may want to see you. And I think if nothing else, it could relieve your mind. :)

Thanks Golly, I am thinking that it might possibly clear up within a week, because if its a zit, and zits usually clear up within a week, and if it doesn't I will check with my doctor. Right now, all I can say OUCH!!!!!! I have never had anything like this before either, and I am sure if I take care of it and keep it clean and dry it will probably clear up...........I will soak in a nice hot bath for a few days and see if that helps it, and maybe use a mild soap too. Who knows, maybe my shampoo caused it, or excessive sweating or something, I am sure that it isn't anything serious. And thanks again, Golly.

You might want your gyno to check it out. I had a Bartholin Cyst there. there are glands there called bartolin glands that can get cystic. You will be put on anti-biotics--They usually respond well. JMHO--- Mel

I think that it is starting to subside, well the pain anyway. It doesn't hurt as much as it did, there is still a bump, well we might as well call it a zit, lol. I have had zits on other parts of my body that hurt just as bad when they were touched, and they were hard to pop, and I am having trouble getting it to burst, but I think that I will just refrain from popping it and squeezing it anymore, it might be making it worse and that is probably the reason why it gets bigger and not smaller. But it hurts less now, and it's starting to itch, and that is a sign that it's starting to heal up on it's own, so I think for now I will leave it alone. I probably got that zit because I am sitting down all of the time and it gets moist and I sweat down there, and it possibly could have been caused by the seam in my pants rubbing against it and then causing irritation. I won't worry about it anymore, I am just going to let it go away on its own. I think that is the best thing for it. Thanks for caring and understanding my problem. And thanks for listening and replying to my message. Thanks a ton. :-)

**Good news kat. :) Glad to hear it. I think you're wise not to pop it but to let it do it on it's own if it will.

Thanks for checking back and letting us know it's getting better. :)

Hey Kat...

Another thing to remember as well is that your hair grows down there...and as we all know, it's not real soft and gentle hair. What can happen is if you're working out or even from day to day sweating, your hair folicles can get clogged thus creating what you are describing. This is especially true if you shave or wax. Not to worry, it will go away. I usually try popping it if I get one...it does hurt and is hard to pop, but if you work at it...it will go away and feel better. Hope this helps!

Love!

Well, actually it isn't in a place that has hair, it's on the upper part of the labia minora, which are the inner lips of the vagina, but I just remembered, that I did trim the hair around it the other day, and maybe that irritated the skin, the bristly hair that might have been left over from trimming it, or maybe it was the shorter hair that poked the skin and caused inflammation. All I know is that it still hurts a little, and even itches at times, hopefully that is a good sign. :-) It's more annoying than anything else. And I know that zits can take quite awhile to go away too, and sometimes over a week. I am not sure if I should attempt to open it up or not, because I have tried this and it makes it redder, bigger, and more sore. I am going to try my best to leave it alone even though it is quite tempting to mess with it. LOL. I am sure that it isn't anything serious, and I am not as worried about as I was before. Thanks.
