I get really tired.

I work in an office at a desk, in front of a computer 8 hours a day and then I sit in classes 3 1/2 hours a day. I walk 30 minutes 5 days a week. I try to get 6-8 hours of sleep a night but I just seem so tired. I feel like I could sleep 12 hours a day.

Do you think that if I took a multi-vitamin I might not feel so tired ?

Hi roman and welcome to the board. :)

**I'm sorry you get so very tired. Sounds like you're getting your exercise in, good for you!. Do you take mini frequent breaks from the computer? Like get up for some water, or stretch etc. You might try that to help. :)

**You didn't mention your eating pattern or habits but I would think a good multi vitamin could help. And many of us have found that 5 or 6 small healthy meals a day helps. And don't forget to drink plenty of water. ;)

We'd love to have you join us as we journey to become fit and healthier where we all share and support. Hope we see you back soon. :)

Hi Golly!

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Last weekend I went to my sisters in Chicago and ate out almost every meal.

We had Thai food, burgers, beef, fried chicken. I ate pretty badly and I

feel like I gained a few pounds from it. Maybe that is why I have been

feeling tired ever since. I am trying to eat better but I don't really

know what are good low fats foods to eat. I have lost 30 pounds so far

in the past 8 months. I hope to lose 10 more to get down to a weight of

112. I am 5'3' and weigh 122 now. I also have a membership at a gym

and try to get there as often as I can which isn't too often now that

I started school.

I need quick meals. I usually eat Boca burgers, morningstar chik nuggets,

spaghetti, hamburger helper, salads, bagels with lunchmeat and cream cheese,

sandwiches on wheat bread, bananas, oranges. That is about it. I don't

have too many gourmet meals.

Thanks :)

**Great going on those 30 lbs! :) Honestly, once started on a routine, jmho but I think the last 10 lbs are the hardest lol. Anyway they have been for me. :)

**maybe just make some substitutions and keep an eye on portion size? Since you do eat a lot of quick meals, maybe add a fruit like grapes for your snack times. :) And there are some good frozen meals that have the calories, veggies and portions about right. If you don't think you're getting in your 5 fruits/veggies, milk etc. I'd think a vitamin would help too. :)

I'm sure others will show up with some other suggestions. :)

Hi, Roman ~ and welcome to our board.

BIG CONGRATS on that 30 lb weight loss....that is AWESOME!!!

No wonder you are tired with all that sittin':) I, too, work in an office

at a computer 8-9 hrs a day...but only 4 days a week..at least for right now.

It REALLY will help if you get 2 breaks a day and can take a brisk 15 min

walk during those times. That add'l 3-1/2 hrs every day in class ~ WHEW, girl,

no wondered you're tired:)

In answer to your vitamin question, I would say 'yes'. With your schedule right

now, I'm sure meal planning is difficult. One A Day now has a new multi out called

Weight Smart...perhaps you might want to check it out.

And if you do have the time to 'stay with us' here while you're at work, you will

really get alot of tips as well as support. Check out the web site "Healthy Habits".

Perhaps there is something there that will be of help.

Hope to see more of you!! Stella

Hi roman and welcome to our board :)

Sounds familiar on the always tired saga

I would suggest trying a vitamin yes..

Also after a while if you still fel really tired ..

Consult your doctor as you never know what else might be going on ..

Sure hope to see you here again soon :)
