Sorry I was gone for so long ladies~

Catching up with all of you is a full-time job! (A good job by the way!) ;o)

My trip with DH's family was great!!!

It was a lot more fun than I thought it would be. There was probably only one day where I was really annoyed with all the kids & stuff, but it quickly passed.

DH & I were even able to get away & be alone a couple of times. That was awesome! One night, we strolled along the board walk & another night, we went to a comedy club & had a couple of drinks.

Oh, & on Monday night, when we were going out to dinner & walking to our table, DSD grabbed my hand & said "I want to sit next to my step-mommy." It was SO CUTE & exactly what I wanted to hear because she's never called me that before!!! She always called me "Ms. DJ", so when she said "step-mommy" it was a huge shock, but a good one!!

Her & I got really close while we were there & I’m glad we did. She truly is a sweet girl & I hope that we will always get along. I’m sure there will still be days when I’m annoyed as heck, but that’s expected! HA HA!! ;o)

Now, it's back to our normal lives; work, house, bills, etc...

I was a little busy all week which is why I'm just now getting back to all of you. But I'm back!! That's the best part, right? ;o)

I missed you all!

Much love,

~dj~

WELCOME BACK from me, too:)

Sounds like it was a wonderful trip, and apparently you didn't have to worry about the in-law thing one bit:) I, too, loved the story on 'step-mommy'. Also...learning DSD!!! Makes it easier when I talk about my 2 steps! Think I can use *DSGD* for my 2 step granddaughters?????

Hope you are feeling better today, girlie:)

Thanks Tracy~

You got that right sister! It was such a wonderful feeling. I was never *really* sure how she *really* felt about me, so when she said that, it was like she was totally accepting me, you know??

So glad to be back woman!

Much love,

Thanks Sliver!!!!!

Hey, speaking of "mommmies", did you ever find out if you're expecting or not? Or was it a false alarm?? ;o)

Awww, thank you Hugs~

I am so fortunate that DSD is at the age she is (7). I think that if DH & I met when she was older, it would be a lot harder on her. Right now, she is at the age where it is more easy for her to understand without bad feelings coming into play.

Much love lady,

Thanks Stel~~

The in-laws were no problem at all. I was actually more nervous about the kids! LOL! :oD

I've never been a kid person, so I thought it would be a challenge, but it was actually very fun!!

Much love,

Welcome back, (((DJ)))

What a heartwarming, inspiring message! That got my day off to a wonderful start. Thank you.

It does seem like a full time job to catch up with everybody here, doesn't it? I could stay here all day! It's nice to know you have people who care here, even when you can't be here. Besides, we have a couple of fabulous CLs here (not mentioning names, don't want their egos to flare up TOO much, you know! ).

I didn't really know much about you before, and now I feel I know a lot more, after having read your post.

I am so happy your DSD called you her step-mommy. That did it for me, I'm going to have a great day. I know you said that just so I would have a great day LOL!

Your description of the times you & DH got out by yourselves made me glow.

More importantly, though, was reassurance about the *bad* times with kids -- that they always pass and are worth it. This Labor Day Weekend, the only times I have had peace have been the times when I've been alone.

************************************************************Ok, I'm back. I just spent at least an hour detailing my present woes with my children, and I'll share some of that at another time. I cannot thank you enough for inspiring my day, and my time of problem-solving. I realized I was feeling pretty hopeless.

Bless you and it is great getting to know you! I haven't read your profile, but if you have one, I'll get to it momentarily. So far my computer has been unable to access the place where I would create my own profile. I hope I can email iVillage and describe the problem.

Love,

Yogi

*Hey, speaking of "mommmies", did you ever find out if you're expecting or not? Or was it a false alarm?? ;o)*

FALSE ALARM, THANK GOD! My body has ben going through a stressful hell, but I'm taking it all in stride. I just keep reminding myself that if I tackle each day head on and avoid becoming overwhelmed then tomorrow will be that much easier. I'd hate to add the expecting of a little one to this mix right now. All in good time. But thanks for your thoughts and concern! So glad you're back!
