soy? tofu?

Hey ladies! hope you all had a great labor day weekend! I had a lot of fun...lost a little of my voice so it's been rough talking to everyone today..lol...
anyway...a few months ago, one of the girls I work with at the gym was talking about tofu and I've been wanting to try it out since but just haven't gotten around to it. I finally looked up some recipes online today but I was wondering if anyone here is into the organic food thing. My first step was drinking soy milk and I love it. I actually didn't know what tofu was until today so I want to start educating myself more on this whole thing. If anyone has any tips I'd love to hear them!
thanks

thanks again :)
I am an organic gardener--no pesticides--no herbicides--no chemical fertilizers--I take good care of my soil and use lots of compost (which I make from all the leaves in the fall and any veggie scraps and eggshells I have)
I buy organic frozen products--some canned--they are becoming more available--I also buy organic produce when it is available--I do that because I know anything grown orgnically does not have any poisons connected with it and also because I know that organic farmers are taking care of their soil as I am.
Soy--well I put soy powder on my cereal when I am at home--
Tofu--the only time I eat it is when I have a Japanese meal (about once a week) since I always have miso soup (with tofu and seaweed) and sometimes they include marinated tofu on the platter. I like it in the soup but don't particularly like the texture outside of soup.

You may live to be 100 eating that yuck stuff!
I've cut OUT alot of bad foods trying to get some pounds off,
but don't think I'll EVER ADD *tofu* or *soy* to my diet. Bean curd???....

**Same here Barb. It seems fine in the soups and stirfrys but I've not acquired a taste for it by itself, lol.
