I am a soldier in the United States Army. Me and my Husband have been trying for about 2 months to start a family. We have no other children and I am 29 years old. My concern is that I get up at 5:00am in the morning to do PT (PHYSICAL FITNESS TRAINING) and im talking 3 to 5 miles of fast paced running and push-ups and sit-ups everyday!!!. Being sore is just part of everyday for me and im not complaining, i really like it. I am fit and feel great but will this hurt my chances of conceiving? and do i need to calm down?.

**You certainly do sound fit .. that is wonderful.

While I am not certain about it hindering your chances to conceive ..

Although my own two cents would be a no, it would not ..

I would ask your doctor to hear what they may have to suggest.

Sometimes conceiving just takes time .. Everyone is different ..

I am sure others here will give you their thoughts as well.

So do check back again soon.

Hope to see you again and Good luck :)

Hi elymayi,

Welcome to our board and congratulations and

a thank you for being in the U.S. Army. :)

That's quite a workout, you must be in great shape! I'm glad you like it. :)

As to if it might hurt your chances to conceive, I honestly don't know.

My own guess would be that I wouldn't think so but perhaps that would be a good one to ask your Dr? Another source to just check out might be any studies or polls done about Army women and conception. Perhaps others here will have some ideas and here's another board, *Military Wives* that might help you out too. :)
