How was everyone else's weekend? Anyone do anything exciting?
Other BIG news I have - I'm putting in my 2 weeks notice today at work (gulp). It's hard when I've worked here for 4 years, and it's pretty much all I've known since I got out of college. But (SO and I) we've decided to move back to his family's ranch which is 2 hours from here. He's going to take over for his grandfather who can't take care of it all himself anymore. I'm a little nervous because I won't have a job right away, and we haven't even secured housing yet. But I guess we can always stay with his family till we find something. It's a big step, but we have to take it. This is setting us up for a life and family out there, which is what we both really want. Times will be tough for a little while, but we'll manage (I hope!).

And I personally think its very exciting to see what 'ranch' life would be like.....
especially in North Dakota. Almost impossible for me to even fathom what the
winters might be like.
But...I think its very *honorable* that your SO wants to help his grandfather out ~
who knows what this 'adventure' will lead to as far as your future goes.
So...are you going in like 2 weeks? * stel *

I'm really excited to be out on their farm. It's very peaceful outh there. They mostly raise cattle, so the majority of the land is pasture. It's actually very pretty out there, with rolling hills, not what's you'd expect of ND.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed - I'm not usually one to take risks, or make big changes, so it's quite nerve racking, but I'm sure it will be worth it in the long run.
