Hello my friends,

Some things I would like to share with you today :)

Emotions are so mixed -- we want to move forward, and yet the area has a sacred feel to it. There are no easy answers ..

Do check these out ..

Love to all :)

Thanks iVillage for providing a safe place where we can find boards and chats to share our confusion, sadness, anger, hope and strengths with eachother and find comfort and caring.

Thank you, Hugs, you're the BEST! During *breaks*, I know where I'll be today:)

My DH is THE most patriotic fella you'd ever wanna meet...for instance, our outside Xmas decorations in 2001 were all red, white & blue. (We won the neighborhood award, BTW:)

And the red, white & blue lights REMAIN to this day on our outside bannister, and have been lit every nite this week...in remembrance.

Anyhoo, just thought I'd throw that in cuz I'm glad to know my 3rd home (after house & office is F&H board!!), is remembering this day as well.

Peace, Stel

I dont think ANYONE could not say where they were and what they were doing on that moment on Sept. 11th that changed our world as we know it. It was really awful for me,I had a good friend who died in the tower. He was a fire-fighter, married to a great friend of mine. His mother and brother live down the street from me. It was awful.I was over at Annes (his Moms) for awhile that morning. It was horrid- the CONSTANT vigil..waiting for the phone to ring. We finally found out his crew Ladder #7 was one of the first up the tower.Ironically Richie had just gotten off his shift and was about to go home when the call came in..He jumped right in..always brave and crazy. I think he is the ONLY real hero I have EVER known personally. I pray for his wife, Connie and their 2 children today. Not a trace was ever found of him. The family , his Mom..all his brothers and sisters went up several times to sift thru the rubble. His cousin was also lost in the fire. They are a big irish-catholic family.ALL fire-fighters and cops..tradition. I am very sad today and have cried several times. My heart goes out to all the victims and their families..xoxoxo mel

Awwwwwww, {{{Mel}}}....its hard enough today NOT knowing anyone PERSONALLY who was involved in 9/11...I can't imagine what its like having a fire-fighter friend who died.

Prayers to his family from here, too.

Peace babes, Stel

I was on my way to work when the first plane hit, when I got to work and turned on the tv, I saw the second hit. It was so surreal...so tragic...so unbelievable. I stood there openmouthed, gaping, staring....not believing this was actually happening.

Then came a phone call from my boss to tell me to go home cause our office is next to the state capitol.

**One thing I think this day has done Stel is to show how *United* our homes, States and world friends are and will be towards a goal of freedom for all.

Glad you shared. :)

Aww {{{Mel}},

So hard to come to grips with, I doubt if we'll ever understand. Prayers to you, the family and all their friends and a silent, sincere thank you to Richie and those with him doing what they did-yes Heroes.

My heart goes out to all.

Blessings and Hugs hon,

~Golly
