Down another pound, it's a slow process!

I was an overweight child, and until I was around 21, I was pretty heavy. After my mom passed away in 1994, I decided to lose weight to make a change in my life. Over the course of a year, I lost 100 lbs. in a healthy way and kept it off for several years. Once I got married, I became lazy and now, I'm back up 36 lbs. from my goal weight. What I used to do in the past no longer works, and now I have to try twice as hard to lose poundage. I take chromium, OTC water pills, cider vinegar tablets, and I drink around 100oz. of h2o per day, plus I try to work out and tone as much as possible. I'm getting back into a better eating routine after my weekend away in Vegas, and I'm just wondering if anybody else feels like this battle is never going to end. It was so easy when I first lost my weight, now it's a daily struggle, and I get more hungry by the minute. Also, whenever I even think about eating salty foods (pretzels and Chinese food are a big weakness), I gain like 5lbs. in water. Is it aging that contributes to this problem? Mind you, I'm only approaching 30 in Dec., but things were much easier back in 94-95. How much is it to ask to get back to a size 12? (I'm 5'10" with a large bone structure, so my ideal weight is 160-165).
Sorry, just venting this morning because I feel sooooooo fat today.

**What helps me is I try to think of it as a life style change and then I don't seem to feel the struggle as much. :) Actually now there's a lot of the unhealthy foods I used to eat that seem way too heavy and unappealing for me now so perhaps with time, that will help.

**I don't really know on the aging. I've read *a rule of thumb*- adding 5 lbs per decade but I don't know how true that is. It could explain that *middle age spread" a little bit I guess. Have patience on the weight loss, k? ;) It took awhile for us to gain the weight and while we want it to go away quickly,:::sigh::: it does take time and effort to do.
Don't get discouraged-you're doing fine and losing slowly is much easier on your body. :)
Hugs and blessings,

**Good to hear you are slowly but surely getting back on track hon ..
I definitely agree it is a lifetime battle, and committment ..
It is more of a lifestyle change than anything else ..
Once it becomes more habit than it should, could be a bit easier ..
Glad you were able to vent here .. that is exactly why we are here :)
