Tracy,do you drink 8th continent soymilk? I love their vanilla.I also like the Silk soymilk chocolate--but all the chocolates have WAY more sugar than the vanilla.these are refrigerated brands.Never have done the box kind.xoxoMEL

You know Mel, I'm not supposed to partake in "soy" stuff anymore with this hypo, but, when I did drink, I just Loved the Silk Chocolate Soy milk too. I used to drink it like a chocolate treat for a snack or even with cereal! I didn't care for the vanilla, but I really didn't give it much of a chance. I've never tried the other types either.

I think soy is a great health food as long as it is not over-used. . . there's something about the isoflavins that "can" act as hormones, and for hypo-thyroids, that is NOt good.

YES! I have heard that soy can trigger hormones. I am just trying to alleviate SOME of the meat and dairy in my diet.My cholesterol was 140 last time--but my GOOD cholesterol was THRU the ROOF!!So it does balance out--but still..Ill do some soy. I did hear that over-use of soy causes your hair not to grow.Read that recently...Mel
