Good day Ladies ..

I would love to hear some great food ideas from anyone and everyone ..

Healthy would be great but yummy is important as well

Please feel free to share what is healthy, good, easy quick dinner ideas ..

Also if we can keep them all in this thread it would make finding them easier for all.

I will go back and c/p the ones we already have in this thread too .. eventually

That way we all know where they will be when we want them

What will be great is we can always find this thread,

Post in it and that will *bump* it back to the top

In time I will be posting them on our website as well.

STICKY CHICKEN

4 tsp salt
2 tsp paprika
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp thyme
1 tsp white pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 large roasting chicken
1 cup chopped onion

In a small bowl, thoroughly combine all the spices.
Remove giblets from chicken, clean the cavity well and
pat dry with paper towels. Rub the spice mixture into
the chicken, both inside and out, making sure it is
evenly distributed and down deep into the skin. Place in
a resealable plastic bag, seal and refrigerate
overnight. When ready to cook chicken put onion in the
cavity and put it in the crockpot and do not add
any liquid. As the cooking process goes on it will
produce it's own juices. Cook on low 8 to 10 hours and
it will be falling off the bone tender.

There's lots of recipes out there for Steak Soup.
This is one I've been playing with for many decades lol.

"Steak Soup"
Steak Soup has been around in our town for a long time. I first remember having it in a local restaurant (Plaza 111 wayy back when ;) and oh was it good. :) They shared it with the community and I've tasted various *steak soups* since. Mine has probably changed/evolved-I think they ground up their real steaks. ;)

Here's the Basil-Lemon Pork chops. Makes 4 servings.

Basil-Lemon Pork Chops with MelonBetty Crocker's Great Grilling cookbook shares a recipe! A can of lemonade makes the marinade a snap to mix, and the grilled melon wedges add a twist to grilled pork chops.

I thought that it would be too sweet because of the lemonade concentrate but it wasn't.
The recipe says to cook the chops on a grill, but I just fried them in a nonstick pan instead. I think that I should have cooked them in the broiler instead because they came out a little dry. :o(
