Surviving Sons!!

Just rambling a little, it's the weekend :).....we all talk, rant and rave, brag, here about our sons and what they get up to, or don't get up to :))

As parents we try our best to bring our kids up with attitudes and values that reflect ourselves and the standards we hope they will live by as adults. It takes years of hit and miss but in the end things generally work out.

I told ds last night that we were having company. He worked until about 11 p.m. and when he came in shook hands with Gordon, gave Di a kiss on the cheek, sat on a stool and "entertained" all of us for about 1/2 hour. He laughed, joked, in short he was wonderful and I was so proud I could have busted out of my skin. He then proceeded to stack the dishwasher etc. so when the evening ended I literally had nothing to tidy up!

My point is, that ds can still be a "nightmare" at times. He is afterall 21, and a garrulous, people person who parties hard etc. and everything that goes with that. Hmm, where did he come from.

Ds knows how to behave. Last night, WHEN IT COUNTED, he made us proud.

So, Mel, keep at it, it's just the way it is and know that your sons will "surprise" you one day by suddenly being "grown up" and turning into incredible, wonderful young men. Hilary

**I did and you are right, he did not empty the dishwasher this morning. Should have asked my visitors to come back for breakfast. They thought he was amazing! HA! Hil
