Well, since I've had grilled chicken for lunch AND dinner since Monday

nite, tonite is 'take-out' from the Whistle Stop Cafe (STILL can't believe

none of you guys have seen the movie "Fried Green Tomatoes"

We have a friend who just got out of the hospital w/bad pneumonia, so

dh picked their dinner up too. He's SICK of hospital food.

Anyhoo, I'm having turkey and dressing and stewed squash. My greens

will be celery ~ I'm into celery now...burnt out on baby carrots

Well, thank GOODNESS Golly:) This restaurant is our NEW take-out place -

once a week.

The book, Whistle Stop Cafe, is the premise for the movie, Fried Green Tomatoes.

The author, Fannie Flagg, is from Bham.

They've just started staying open for dinner as well as lunch. It's a

kewl place

Oh, Hugs, you MUST watch it. It's a wonderful southern movie, with a wonderful cast.

You would love it....I think:)

Put it on your list of 'things to do' ~ which is probably 2 pages long at this point

So proud of ME! This morning as ya saw in the exercise section, I didn't feel like cooking dinner. And I didn't until tonight, but got that big 5 lb. roll of hamburger out, and when I couldn't saw it into parts, I finally cooked the whole dang thing (took over an hour in the microwave to thaw, and we wanted to be eating about then), and ...

da ta daaaaaa ...

divided it into 5 parts, like I PLANNED, and put 4 of them in the freezer.

My big plans usually turn into trash bag food.

Talk about Ms. Suzy Homemaker! (beaming)

(hated it)

Made some yummy spaghetti, well I didn't have but a taste, but the guys dove in and that told me it was good.

They had that with about a half gallon of milk.

Can you imagine what milk is going to cost by the time they are 16? Can I buy it and freeze it? Hmmmm, that evaporated stuff. Hmmmmm, I'll have it, but they will refuse to drink it.

Therefore, no money spent on milk in the future.

Brilliant!

Mary,

How do you make good dumplings? My guys don't like them, but then they never had good ones, just ones out of the can, the can with the chicken meat and "dumplings" in it.

If it's in the "recipe swap," I missed all that. Mostly, I don't have any recipes to swap.

Could you tell me please?
