My Mum is in the hospital

I wasn't going to post this until tomorrow but I think a little help from my friends would be much appreciated. I have just returned from the hospital where my Mother is in the emergency coronary care unit. The Specialist told me tonight that the pain she experienced earlier this week was a "heart attack" and that she has a blockage or blockages. Tomorrow she will have an angiogram to determine what happens next. I know she will be fine, in fact tonight she is sitting up in bed really quite cheerful. The real worry is the fact she has only one kidney due to the fact she had the same cancer as Danny had, five years ago, and the dye they use could be a problem.
For those of you who smoke, the fact that she smoked up until 22 years ago (she is 76) is a factor in what is happening to her now. Straight from the Specialist's mouth an hour ago.... so sooner rather than later for quitting, it's time. Hilary

Stay strong...your Dad will need you to be, k?
Hope you hear something real soon as to what the docs decide to do. I know

Hilary, I'm adding you and your mum to my prayer list & will mention at our Prayer Team meeting
Bill
Thank you again Bill.
AND thank you everyone. This Aussie is calm today, to the outside world I pretty much always am. I only show my weaknesses here and in the privacy of my own home - talk about weird. I am strong when I have to be and my Mother WILL be OK. I hopefully will let you all know in your a.m. tomorrow. What a place this is! Hilary
