I have been using "Smart balance Plus"..its non-hydrogenated--so it helps to lower your cholesterol.it also has phytosterols which come from plants and help fight cancers..but I also use REAL butter from time to time--real butter is NOT hydrogenated and only has a few more fat grams than margarine..but 1 serving has 10% of your daily cholesterol levels...So I opt for the Smart Balance most of the time-- it doesnt melt well so let it get room temp b-4 you try to spread it.
JUDIE and GOLLY!! You 2 are so bad!!!I smell butter on your breath!!greasy wenches!!I too( blush) LOVE butter but my cholesterol was 240 at the last chek!! I should live on olive oil!! mel
Hey Mel, You come up with the best questions .. thanks :) I use *I can't believe it's not butter* so there, LOL .. I'm good Now when DH does the shopping he buys the real thing
thanks Hugs.I like that brand also--BUT it is hydrogenated. If any label says hydrogenated on it now--I cant eat it.There are so many processed foods that use these oils that can really block you up..I just read the labels, now.i really want to lower my cholesterol!! Mel

Mel,
I'm like Judie. I don't spread butter on bread, rolls or top a baked potato with it.
