Often wonder what some of the words used in modern journalism mean, considering they aren't in any dictionary? I chose these examples from the Fitness section ;) but the whole site is fantastic. No seriously, take a look :) http://www.wordspy.com/ Examples

stealth fat

noun. A type of fat — known officially as trans fatty acids or trans fats — that doesn't appear on food nutrition labels. (Also called phantom fat.)

retro defiance

noun. Hostility towards current ideas about healthy living, which includes a return to allegedly non-healthy activities such as smoking cigars, drinking martinis, and eating steak.

boomeritis

(boom.ur.EYE.tus) n. Injuries to older, amateur athletes, especially those who are part of the Baby Boom demographic

Well, I thought it was good ;) and there are a lot more interesting ones but this is a Fitness and Health Board. Hilary

That's an interesting site Hil. :) I went through several of what I guess would be today's top 10.
It's facinating how language evolves and wow, the computer world really has it moving!

Guess I'd better watch out for boomeritis .
