Surf's Up!!!!

You all know that I have just come home from "another" stay at the beach even though I only live less than an hour away from the Sydney beaches. Why!! I LOVE IT!! There is nothing more wonderful, to me, than being able to dive into a champagne surf early in the morning, to catch a wave all the way into the shore, to sunbake during a hot day and fall into the water to cool off, and to walk along the sand or sit and watch the sun come up and set over the water so......I was wondering.
Do *you* ever go to the beach? How often? (some people even here haven't seen the sea)
Are there waves at your beach? (I have seen beaches that don't have surf)
Have you ever lived near the beach? Bet you miss it if you have moved away :)
Danny and I are at a time in our lives when you kinda get restless and think about selling the "family home" and moving. A LARGE part of me wants to do what many retirees do and move north to a beach, BUT............ What do you think?

**I know Hugs. I come so close to asking him to move out for his own sake more than ours but... Cruel to be kind sort of thing. I am even thinking that it might be an idea to subsidize his rent. He has had a meeting with the head of the radio station this week and hopefully something will come from that! Can't accuse him of not working. Did 60 hours last week. I don't know what he does with his money, none of it comes to us.
Hey his brother is doing really well though. Has a trip from Vancouver to Salt Lake City for a training course and is busting out of his skin!
>>How far would you be
**Would have to follow the sun to some extent to make it worth it, so I guess we would be looking at a minimum of three hours north.
"Dreams" can and often do come true, yep, maybe Hilary

Yes, once or twice a year. We live in the mountains but love to go to our favorite B & B along the Mendocino coast to get away.

Oh yes. Sometimes surfers but the rocky northern CA beaches are more attractive to abalone divers and kayakers.

Yes, in the 70s I lived in Hampton, VA only 1 block from the Atlantic Ocean. Not really good for swimming, too many jelly fish. But my very young son, our enormous dog
