>>Awww. moms or mums They're just *The Best*!

**Ok the following may be a tad "boring" to some but hec, it's quiet in here and the situation does come up for me quite often so, well, I found this very interesting (I know we did the weird bit yesterday HA!) I intentionally do not change my way of spelling or expressing myself here because I think the differences are "fun" to see.

"In Academic English, the British form is preferable as the American form tends to be perceived as informal (rather than inaccurate). " Informal rather than inaccurate, this being the operative phrase. I love "hearing" the way you girls "talk" on the Boards

Here endeth the English lesson That'll teach ya for going out to lunch Hugs and Golly for drawing attention to my Australian accent HA! Hilary

I do think my English/spelling has deteriorated on the web lol.

**Gee Golly, I think mine has improved. I can't tell you how many times I have to look up the dictionary to check on the spelling of a word. I have always done that though even when writing letters.

One thing, I am starting to "say" things out loud that I "read" here. Some words/expressions that I would not normally use have crept into my conversation. Good fun! Hilary
