While checking around for info on low salt stuff, I came across this.
It's not about low salt but thought it interesting. :::blush:::hope it's not been posted before.

Very good info there Golly.

Those big bagels and fruit chips...the popcorn...you just have to really watch what you are eating.

So, yep, even stuff that is "Healthy" you have to be careful with.

Gotta agree Tracy, wow between the sugar, fats and salt, sheesh.

So many people are not aware of the things mentioned here Golly. I guess until about four years ago I would have thought some of them were OK.

"4. Deli meats: Unless you buy roasted turkey breast, ham or roast beef "carved from the bone," your sandwich staple may be loaded with fillers, salt, preservatives and food coloring."

I do buy deli meats for sandwiches, usually sliced chicken breast or smoked turkey slices, but you have now got me wondering.......... thanks.

Golly, we eat dinner around here about 6.30 to 7 p.m. Hilary

Oh my yes Barb. There's a donut place not 5 minutes from here.
Dh used to bring home a dozen at a time, a mix of cake, iced, and chocolate with chocolate icing for him lol.
Now it's maybe once every two months he'll bring home one donut for me and one for him.
Guess we all are

The deli meats sort of surprised me too Hil I guess because I felt I *knew* oh, meats like salami and balogna had lots of that stuff in them, but somehow didn't associate it with others in the deli case.
Thankfully, at our deli we can buy roasted turkey breast, beef and ham sliced for us now.

Happy Thanksgiving
