It's almost Earth Day!
April 22, 1970, Earth Day marks the beginning of the modern environmental movement. Approximately 20 million Americans participated, with a goal of a healthy, sustainable environment. This Wednesday will mark the 39th celebration.
With that in mind I thought we could answer some "earthy" questions.
- Have you ever planted a tree?
- Is there a community garden near you? Would you, or have you already, considered volunteering in it?
- Will you be attending any Earth Day celebrations?
- Have you tried the new "green" cleaning products? Do you want to?
- The three "r's" of the environment are Recycle / Reuse / Reduce. How do you do these things?
- Do you take advantage of any state or national parks?

To bad you don't have a community garden Lisa,
It is an awesome experience, good to know you are helping.
I hope you can find an Earth Day celebration to visit.
They are very fun.

It's been forever since I planted a tree, too Hugs.
I hope you & DS can find a suitable place for him.
I know he's been waiting a long time for this.

You are so involved with growing things.
It does make me chuckle that you don't do so well with veggies.
Do you grow herbs?
It's to bad you can't spend more time in the Nature Garden,
But personal safety is much more important.
I understand about Ian not wanting to wander much.
He travels so much with his job, he's probably very content
Just hanging around the house when he's home.

Happy Saturday to you too Aileen.
I'm glad you are so active in the 3 R's -
if everyone would do a little we could make quite an impact.
Do you grow your own vegetables and herbs?
~Liz
By your pet rabbits? How many rabbits did you have? Guess you will not have anymore?
Is it raining over there?
Just grow flowers. My yard is shaded by my neighbor's super tall Italian Cypress trees.
Forgot to say our garbage company recycles everything we set aside even the regular batteries, oil from the car, and oil filters, junk papers and thin boxes from the kleenex tissues, and pizza boxes, and cardboard boxes.
Now that I write it all down...that sure is a lot that used to be in the garbage can. Now the garbage can is kind of light but we get charged more.
