It's almost Earth Day!

April 22, 1970, Earth Day marks the beginning of the modern environmental movement. Approximately 20 million Americans participated, with a goal of a healthy, sustainable environment.  This Wednesday will mark the 39th celebration.

With that in mind I thought we could answer some "earthy" questions.

  1. Have you ever planted a tree?

  2. Is there a community garden near you?  Would you, or have you already, considered volunteering in it?

  3. Will you be attending any Earth Day celebrations?

  4. Have you tried the new "green" cleaning products?  Do you want to?

  5. The three "r's" of the environment are Recycle / Reuse / Reduce.  How do you do these things?

  6. Do you take advantage of any state or national parks?

I reuse my plastic bags too. I also have those cloth bags, but I forget to bring them to the grocery store. Bad me!

The closest state park to my house has over 100 miles of trails and paved walking paths.

I've seen some info on Washington State Parks,
and I think I would spend a lot of time exploring them
if I could get there easily.

I hadn't thought about recycling clothes.
I mean we do it often,
But it's just something we do
Not necessarily a "green" thing.

Hope you are enjoying your quiet day :)

I just ordered some cloth bags for keeping in the car.
I'll use my backpack when I walk to the grocery store,
Not nearly as often as I used to,
A habit I need to start again.
