I do a combination

I compost
I have all energy efficient light bulbs (except on the front porch, 'cuz it won't fit!)
I use eco-friendly cleaners (vinegar & water mainly)
All my appliances are Energy Star rated (and replaced within past 5 years)
I buy some organic stuff, and take advantage of local farmer's markets
And I try to walk to most errands, or stack them so I don't drive every day.
We recycle some products, but it's slow going where I live - not exactly green friendly yet.

I do use eco friendly cleaners : ) I like them! And they don't have that hospital smell!

But we do also use energy saving light bulbs.

Went with combination...

I compost,
I recycle where & what I can,
I only use energy efficient lightbulbs (today I got light fittings so I can do away with the only fitting that doesn't fit any of the energy efficient bulbs, oh & they are old so they fit in with the other antique light fittings in this house),
I try & use eco friendly cleaning products, or as little as possible,
I have energy efficient appliances - all my electric ones have a "1" rating which is as good as it gets,
I very seldom buy organic foods 'cos they have to travel so far their carbon footprint is HUGE,
I walk where & when & to where I can (you know the airport is just too far away) 'cos there is not a public transport system to be used here & also no-one to car-pool with when I want to head outside of Villiersdorp),
I pass on my old clothes to charity & where I can I try & sell or gift old furniture where I can...

Boy can I only polish my halo now, though to be serious, there are a lot more things I could do that I don't do...

The only one I don't do is, "eco friendly" cleaning products.
