Wade in the Water
If you have trouble with your knees or other joints, exercising in the water may very well be your solution. Swimming is a non-weight bearing exercise so there is no pressure on your joints. You can swim, participate in a water aerobics class, or just walk back and forth in the pool. Check out your local health clubs to see if they have a pool, or scout out YMCAs or other community centers with pools, which may be more affordable.

Ouch Lisa 2 of them at the same time! Good thing you are taking things easy. Just when you want to start something, things set you back.
Right Lisa, better to start slow again with the small mini walks and lots of easy stretches. Doing these for upperbody should not be too hard for the body and your recovery.
