body?

I usually do 15 minutes but not all at once. I know upper body strength is kind of important. Is that a good length of time for the day?  Just wondered.

short answer - as long as it takes.

You need to work both front (chest) and back equally
throw in a little shoulders
and hit both triceps & biceps.

I do a quick routine

Low rows (back)
Incline chest press (chest)
Assisted pull ups (shoulders, arms)
standing lateral raises (shoulders)
21's (biceps)
skull crushers (triceps)

3 sets each of 12-15 reps - my total time is about 25 minutes
I do it twice a week at the gym

I agree with Liz , Aileen ! As long as it takes. If 15 minutes is working for you, then 15 minutes : ) Don't forget to increase a little because your body will get used to what you are doing and then you won't see the results .

Ok then I am doing fine. Just wanted to know the length of time. I know it is good to work on it. Especially when I want to put a bag or 2 of the big bark bags in the car and I am by myself. I have the strength to do that part and not feel like a ninny weakling.

Ok Liz then I am doing good. I can get the bag of barks and not feel like a weakling from the cart to the trunk. I notice when I do work the uppers, lifting things are easier to do.

I lift weights 3 days a work. I usually do a full body workout and it takes me a little over an hour.

Sounds good. I am on the upper body challenge and just having fun trying out different workouts and seeing which ones I like and do not like. Thanks for the ideas.

go over to the spark people Website. There are some good upper body workouts over there. I usually use the stability ball to weight train
