Do YoU Watch the Scale ?

A good idea I believe.
Don't you ?
Let us know :)
Don't Watch the Scale
The scale may not indicate your progress. If you want to measure your progress, go for that pair of jeans that are on the cusp of being too tight. Try them on twice a week, and if they feel snugger, add another 10 minutes of cardio to your routine.

I think we all need to do wha work best for each of us ..
I find I use it daily as a guide to see what I can & can't do
It does motivate me as well at times.
Our clothes are a tru sign for sure & helps hugely I believe.
So in other words ..
Use it, don't abuse it if it helps ..
You're the best judge & like Cris says ..
We're all a work in progress :)
Well, what ever works for the individual is great. By the way what happened with those pre baby jeans, got into them? LOL!!!!!!!
Dearest Miriam, I don't think you could insult anyone even if you tried! You are one of the sweetest women I know! I know your suggestions were given in the best of intentions.
I'm working my way back to walking every day, or almost every day. Today we took care of my two youngest grandloves..ages 6 1/2 and almost 8..and very active! They just left and my DH and I are pooped!! No walking for today, entertaining kiddies all day is enough exercise for we oldsters!! LOL!!
Special Hugs.....
Donna, sweetie, you are so kind, and thank you so very much for that lovely compliment.I definitely can relate to how you and your dh feels after taking care of those precious grandchildren for the day.
We had my wonderful daughter and her family living with us for almost 4 months (total people , 9) and as much as I love them and probably would do it again if I had to, it wiped us out completely. We then moved and I became sick since that day of our move, 2 weeks ago. I have now a touch of phonmenia and very tired. I am on antibiotics and a pump with cortzone for my cough. I am now told that I need to catch up on all my rest. My daughter felt very quilty cause she had said from the beginning that she shouldn't of lived with us for those 4 months. Being a mother I told her to stop being silly that I just have a touch of phonemonia and I would be just fine. But....between you and me, I knew that this was going to catch up to me sooner or later and it did.
Like my sister-in-law said to me the other day, "You think that you are in your 20's and I am not." My response was to that, I know that I am 61, but I also know that when I became a parent , it was for life.
So , you and your dh have a quiet and relaxing weekend. Love ya a lot Donna, and so glad that you are in my life. You are a very sweet, caring, understanding and compassionate women, and we all are very fortunate to have had the opportunity to meet you and have you in our lives. Thank you for being you!!!
Oh, goodness, Miriam, I am so sorry to hear that you are so sick! Interesting that when I moved into my present home five years ago, I was also sick with pneumonia. Mine came before the move during the last of the packing and all the stress that goes along with that. It took a good 3
You are such a wise lady.We may feel young at heart, but in reality we are growing older and hopefully gracefully.I am beginning to feel a bit better, I don't seem to be coughing as much, just that when I do start it really bothers me. It is sort of a dry cough, but hopefully it won't take to long for me to get rid of this cough, though...I know that a cough can linger on be it just a cold, broncitis or pneumonia.
Well, sweetie what are you up to this weekend? Right now here in this part of Quebec it has been raining which unfortunately for us we are living in mud. We are in a new development so needless to say, we have no roads as of yet and of course no grass. Well, I feel that it will all get done and that really should be the worst problem I ever have in my life.
As I was reading your last post, my dd came in with the baby and I read what you had written to me about her doing the same for her children and she smiled and said yes this is so true. She told me that I was a very smart women and it didn't surprise her at all that I would be communicating with friends that were as wise as her mother. LOL!!! She is so precious, Donna , so I am sending you a picture of Stephanie and her beautiful daughter, my granddaughter , Jessica. Jessica is going to be 19 yrs old.
Yes, you do indeed have a lovely daughter and granddaughter! She sounds as sweet as you are.
Glad to hear you are feeling better. It's a relief when you know you're on the mend.
Good to keep that positive mind set with the mud and no roads. By this time next year, it will all be in and looking very nice. I have funeral stuff to do this weekend. Good to get to visit with loved ones, but sad for the reason they're here. Here is a link to where I talked about it.....

My dearest Donna,
I just read that post and I am so very sorry about your cousin's husband. My deepest condolences goes out to the entire family and may the good memories of this gentleman help everyone through their sorrow.
What a horrific accident , my goodness. My thoughts and prayers go out to all concerned.
Thank you for that compliment of my daughter/granddaughter . They are both very dear to me and my husband.
((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))
I've decided to stay off the scale for awhile....maybe a long while.
Thank you for your kind words of sympathy.
It is quite shocking, hard to believe it has happened.
