How does a nice dandelion salad sound to you? Served with a side dish of Lamb's Quarters-it might not be as bad as you think. According to this blog post on NeverSayDiet.com, serving weeds seems to be a wildly growing trend. Take a look at this and tell us if you'll be serving weeds any time soon:
We’ve all heard that dark, leafy greens are the best superfoods. Well, move over Brussels sprouts, weeds have taken over. You heard right—the sales of edible weeds nationwide have increased more than twice as fast as ordinary vegetables, reported The Wall Street Journal today. People are buying wild weeds (yep, like the stuff that grows in your lawn) instead of, just say, spinach. You can find weeds such as dandelion greens, burdock, purslane, lamb’s quarters and stinging nettles in your local supermarket and farmer’s market… and also in surrounding fields and yards.
