Using whole wheat pasta is great. I have been cooking with it for years. Another great way to have spaghetti is with extra virgin olive oil, anchovy paste or fillets, lemon juice, sliced garlic, red pepper flakes and arugula. Then just top it with some grated parmesan and romano cheese.

Hello HappyCooker!

That sounds like a great way to fix spaghetti!
I'm gonna have to try it soon,
Sounds so much lighter than with marinara.

Thanks for stopping by with that idea!

hope to *see* you again.

Just make sure you cook everything on a medium to medium low heat so the garlic and anchovy doesn't burn.

Hope you enjoy it!

There is no saving the dish if you burn the garlic -
I've had to throw out plenty in my time
and start over for that very reason.
