You find most exercise to be repetitive and dull. But if you're able to express yourself, you hardly feel like you're exercising.
Try taking a dance class. Any kind that interests you, from ballet to hip hop. You may also find that skiing, skateboarding, and roller skating are expressive sports in their own right!
You enjoy exercise as long as it doesn't feel like work. True! Working out is your playtime, and you're up for any exercise that's fun. True, like walking along the river path.
Try exercise that involves a little friendly competition, like basketball, softball, or volleyball. "Back in my day"..lol..in my mid
You find exercise to be quite boring, and possibly even a waste of your time. You need to be mentally stimulated when you work out.
Try using gym equipment that you can read or listen to an audio book on. Or try an exercise method that involves study and concentration, like yoga, pilates, or weightlifting.
I'll bet you can soon play a mean game of kickball with the grandbabies Donna! That really brings you back to childhood (I recently played on an adult kickball league) And the time you spend walking with your DH is probably a very nice time. Walks along a river - sound like beautiful scenery.
