Quiz by Nicole Nichols, Health Educator One of the reasons so many people fail to reach their goals--whether losing weight, exercising consistently or eating healthier--is because they fail to prepare. Anyone can set a goal, but it takes preparation, planning and motivation to see it through to the end. Take this assessment to find out if you're on the right track to reaching your goals!
Prepared for Success!
Congratulations! It sounds like you know a thing or two about goal-setting and that you've taken steps to ensure you'll be successful, supported and highly motivated along the way. Just be sure your motivation stays strong even when the going gets tough.
I know not to give up, but keep going, keep practicing, keep listing what I do, and to be here.
{{{Rebecca}}} I think recognizing how you need to get back is a huge step .. Taking it slow is the best way as well. Little by little, a bit every day it will happen. We're here to help any way we can .. Although looks like you're on your way by joining here with us :)
I wonder what would be results if I had just started this journey Hugs. When I first started, it was a unmotivated walk. It was a walk that I just wanted to get over with for the day. Then I realized I did do them still slow but longer when I hit the month. I kept going and tried the mini stepper which failed me, because my weight did not go down 3 months after I started walking.
I sort of recorded what I did for the beginning of my walks Hugs.
When I first started walking, it was only 20 minutes a day in Oct 2006. In Jan 2007 to Mar tried the mini stepper to inspire me. I checked my weight in Apr which still stayed in the overweight range.
Sure is a lot of improvement Hugs. I can walk more than that now, I can catch up with my swhusband on the hill streets of San Francisco, etc. While I started with the walks and did nothing else, now it is time to work on upper and lower and continue with abs.
I looked up the next hand weight level after the 10 pound and once I get going good with the 10 pound, I can try 12
