Shoe Question

Hi all,
I've recently started working out again. I do the FIRM videos in my living room- lots of cardio, kickboxing, dancing, free weights, etc. I was wearing running shoes but they where causing pain and blisters. I have been using street shoes, a pair of sketchers, and they don't seem to be working very well either.
Can anyone recommend a good shoe for this type of exercise? Thank you!

I would probably use a cross trainer for that kind of workout.
I like New Balance and Nike for me,
But friends swear by Reebok or K Swiss.
Definately need one with stability - so you don't roll your ankle,
And socks are important too.
Be sure you have the socks you intend to wear to your work out on
when you try on the shoes.
That would be my suggestions - HTH!
Hi terlgerl & welcome to Fitness & Health!
Have you tried a regular walking sneaker?

Welcome to the board :)
Congrats to you for working out again, YaY!
I too am a New Balance kind of shoe gal & love them
Can you go to a sports oriented place where they can fit you properly ?
That might help as well.
Let us know what you decide to go with & how it works out for you :)
There are a lot of different activities.
Cross trainers ususally come in a lower cut around the ankle so you can bend there, but they also have a wider base on them so you don't slip sideways.

Good suggestions, thanks!
I will definitely go shoe shopping this weekend.
Good Luck finding the perfect pair!
