Hi Aileen:

I was just talking to a friend who also struggles with weight control. We were chatting about whether or not some of the really skinny people we know have to work at it or it's just natural. She eats out with people more than I do so she has observed that skinny people eat less.........Plain and simple.

I guess for MOST people staying fit and healthy is a lot of work, as you say.

One can't just eat whatever he/she wants and expect to be thin. It's an on going battle........I just hope I can win it!! I'm so much more comfortable with myself when I'm thinner and my cloths fit better.

Thanks for the really great ideas and sharing your experience:) Especially helpful to know you take your health and fitness everywhere you go. Hadn't really thought a lot about that. I do know lots of people who indulge when out to dinner parties or on vacation. I try not to, but it's hard to be the one who is always saying, "no thanks". Even in the grocery store, I turn away most of the bad stuff and see very over weight people piling in on, so to speak. Some people just can't make the sacrifices for better health.

I'm glad that I'm here with so many people pulling in the SAME direction....

Hope the rest of your week goes well as I know it will:)

I understand Julie.
I do not refuse or deny myself the food.
I just eat a small portion of it.
If I deny the food to myself, I will crave it more.
My sister is smaller and thinner than me.
She eats more because her metabolism burns it off faster than mine.
Although she is thin, she realizes that she has to workout for cardio and
strength. She has not started yet, but one day she will too.
My child's friend is 17 and started workouts in Apr or May at a gym.
He has lost 11 pounds by playing basketball and doing treadmill and
workout with weights. Now he wants to keep control and work on
the toning. My child's other friend is obese and with a enlarged
left ventricle. Sadly he refuses to do anything or move. One day I did notice
that when he came to visit, he was yawning so much. I wonder if that is because
of lack of sleep or his heart is doing that to him. When he moves he lumbers around.
Hoping one day he will do something. Soon.

Knowing & dealing with it with a banana is awesome!
Stick with it since it works so well :)
