Hula Hoop Revisited

I'd posted earlier about ab exercises and I was given great encouragement to try the hula hoop. I bought one and thought it was pretty useless because it wouldn't stay up on my hips. Last Friday DH had a company picnic - some kids had a station with hula hoops, etc. I talked to some of the girls about what the "secret" was to using it. One sweet little thing suggested I try then she can see what I was doing wrong. :0) Well, this time I had no problem. I noticed the hoop was bigger and heavier. The one I bought was smaller and quite light. I went to KRUS today and found a new one - bigger and heavier and now I can finally try my new ab workout. So far, so good. . .I notice I can feel my abs more if I circle the opposite way from what I'm used to. I'm going to try to get more time in before the weekend - I'm going to have a medical procedure and might have to lay low for several days. So, maybe in a couple weeks I'll report back.

Great you found one that works for you.
I can't find one in a big enough size.

I'm not familiar with KRUS - is it a department store?

Good luck with your procedure,

And yes, do keep us advised of your progress :)

Liz?? Does your area have a Walmart? I have been to Walmart and saw bigger sized ones hanging in the store.

Did you try Toys R Us?

That bad huh.

Sometimes we just have to give it another try and forget the issues

especially nowadays. Guitar Hero?? He is into that? Pretty good.

How about you? Do you feel that bad about Walmart?

I don't know how much my DH will be into Guitar Hero,
It's more like the kiddos want to get it for him so they have it.

I don't care for WalMart due to long lines, rude people, poor quality stuff,
but we have very limited options here, and sometimes it's where you have to go.

DH did agree that it is okay to *sometimes* shop there
When we needed a new TV for DS's games
No other stores had the kind we were looking for,
And delivery if ordered online was crazy!

I do like to shop at two local supermarkets much better than WalMart.
Fresher food, and nicer people, except for that one Crazy Bagger Dude.

Yes I do find problems similar to what you said about Walmart. There are some things I am ok with.

Long lines is a problem that they should work on. They have lots of registars up to what?

Sorry, KRUS (Kids R Us) but I actually meant TRUS (Toys R US). The HH has water in it so it adds some weight.
