Happy belated birthday Caroline. So sorry that I am a day late, but my dear friend's husband passed away yesterday morning, so I definitely was not on the computer.

So hope that you had a great and special day, and may the years ahead bring you good health, happiness, and all your hopes and dreams come true.

The very best to you :)

Thank you, he was sick for 5 years with cancer which was spreading. He is now at peace and not suffering any longer. They were married 42 years and it was a great marriage, and a very sad way to have ended it. But....she does not have to watch him suffer anymore and so in that way it is a relief for her as she felt so helpless. He passed away at home where he wanted to. The social workers tried to convince him to go into palatif care ( hospital for the dying) but it upset him and my girlfriend said that as long as she can take care of him at home, that is where he will remain. I am glad in that sense that he was able to pass on in his home.
