Low Blood Pressure: What does it mean?

Yesterday on a routine visit to the doctor a nurse intern took my blood pressure, and she said "Oh, that's low" in a surprised tone. The doctor is known for only using nurse interns in his practice, and his office has a bad reputation overall. Regardless, maybe this means something. What is considered a normal blood pressure reading? What possible diseases or ailments is low blood pressure indicative of? I'd appreciate any answer. Thanks.

P.S.- Even though this doctor has a bad reputation, he is quick with the prescriptions, the appointments, and the referrals (aka, not so much politics and red tape with him).

Hiya,
Shouldn't be anything to worry about really.

Hi there Try,

Everytime I go to the Dr. he makes a comment about my low blood pressure (typically mine runs around 90/60) and he'll attribute it to being physically fit. In my case my lower blood pressure is a good thing. If you're really bothered and concerned about the nurses comments, give the Dr. a call and ask him to explain. It'll help put your mind at ease.

Thanks to ALL of you. He has a bad rep because his offices are small, he never shows up on time, etc.
