Progress always involves risk; you can't steal second base and keep your foot on first base. - Frederick Wilcox

I'm terminally lazy when it comes to "real" exercise...

What is one thing that is holding you back from your quest for better health? Probably eating too much chocolate. I've been surprisingly good with the exercise, but pretty bad about eating fruits and veggies. I'm also bad at stress eating or eating out of boredom.

What one step can you take TODAY to over come this obstacle? Not buy any bad food at the commissary. I bought green beans to snack on when I'm bored or stressed, so maybe that will help too.

How much better will you feel when you take that first step? Will it inspire you to take more? Probably, I've come a long way, but being confident that I can at least maintain my weight would make me feel tons better:-).

Bles makes for a good walking buddy though not as easy to take him to the gym.

Real life buddy walkers are hard for me too Mandy. One decided she loves treadmill walking instead.

Another one has disintegrating spine bones and walks occasionally, so I do everything myself.

Hiya Aileen,
Most of the time with me people don't like the longer walks I prefer to take & a lot of them find Bles off-putting due to his size, but that's their loss.
I thought I'd share this link with you.

Really nice pictures Mandy! It does look like a California coastline. How far from the water are you located?

40 minutes away? Are those pictures during the Spring and Summer?
