Seven Rules to Heavenly Eating
Food writer Michael Pollan, author of books such as In Defense of Food, argues that Americans' obsession with healthy eating is ultimately the reason behind our often-unhealthy lifestyles. Pollan says there are seven simple rules you can start following on your way to a healthy lifestyle. Here are a few of his tips:
1. Don't eat anything your great-grandmother wouldn't recognize as food. If Granny wouldn't recognize that plastic tube of yogurt as food, neither should you.
2. Don't eat anything with more than five ingredients, or ingredients you can't pronounce.
3. Don't eat anything that won't eventually rot. There are a few exceptions, such as honey, Pollan adds.

For me I like the not being able to pronounce, LOL
Least we know too many chemiclas is definitley not good for us.
Thanks for checking it out :)
Well..let's see......
1. Don't eat anything your great-grandmother wouldn't recognize as food. If Granny wouldn't recognize that plastic tube of yogurt as food, neither should you. Grandma might be confused at my can of Pringles nacho cheese chips I get occasionally, but I'll bet she couldn't eat just one..LOL!!
2. Don't eat anything with more than five ingredients, or ingredients you can't pronounce. Hmmm..I think more importantly is that the item does not contain any form of added sugar in the first four ingredients listed
Doubt I would give them up either ::blush::
Good points on the labels & such .. you're always so smart!
Having those kinds of foods that last forever is wise.
Better for us too I am sure.
Appreciate you taking a look :)
