How Can We STAY Fit and Trim???

I've had this discussion many times with a friend of mine.  We are very active and eat fairly well most of the time; yet, often we carry a bit more weight than we want....  We wonder, are those skinny, fit people we see working as hard as we do?  Are they eating as healthy as we do??  OR, are they just LUCKY!!!!!!!

Through observation and a bit of research, we have made our conclusion that they are typically NOT just lucky but they work at it consistently..........

Here is an article I found interesting....................

WHAT DO YOU THINK????

I honestly believe that it is mostly genetics.
I live in an area where women are just built very slender,
Not to tall, with blond hair & blue eyes.

At first I felt like a freak, but I've realized years of breeding
has created this *typical* look for our area.

My doctor has told me that although I don't meet the local standards
I am still every bit as healthy and generally much more fit than they are.

Of couse I'd still like to drop a few pounds LOL

My sister is a good example. She has been thin and trim all her life, but the thing is she knows she
needs to work on cardio and the strengthening. She does not need to lose weight, just workout
the body more. I was thin but gained a lot. I was always wearing the elastic pants and let the pounds
get the better of me. Now I know and switch my elastics to button or snaps. I just realized that if I was
bigger and had button or snaps, I would be wearing the bigger sized button pants anyway. My
neighbor does that, so that idea would not work. Hmmm....have to rethink that one.

For one thing I think it is up to me to stay the size I want to and not go back to where I
was....totally me if I am willing and determined.

Wow that was great Julie,
I do think all people that are fit have done something to be like that.
Maybe not so much as diet but definitely moving.

I think that they work at it also, but each of us is different, and each of us has to do different amounts of work to stay fit.

I had a customer years ago when I worked who was very thin and never gained weight. She only ate salads every day, never ate between meals, never ate sweets
